Layers of Memory and Experience
The house I live in now functions as a studio, laboratory and gallery for my ideas. Growing up, I was among people who designed and built houses and other buildings. So it’s probably natural that I have a preoccupation with architectural elements and spaces in my work. I think the boxes are related to this as well as my photographs of architectural references in the paintings.
